Located in the center of the Xiangjiang River in downtown Changsha, Orange Island is the largest and most famous island in the Xiangjiang River. It runs across the middle of the river from south to north and is surrounded by water on all sides, facing Mount Yuelu on the west and Changsha City on the east. The island stretches for tens of miles, about 40 meters across at a narrow point and 140 meters across at a wide point. In the shape of a long island, Orange Island is one of the important attractions of Changsha.
Mount Yuelu Scenic Spot is located in Yuelu District, Changsha City, Hunan Province, with an altitude of 300.8 meters and an area of 35.20 square kilometers. It is the last peak of the 72 peaks of Mount Heng in Hunan Province and stands in the Orange Island Tourist Scenic Spot, which is an urban mountainous scenic spot and one of the four major maple viewing spots in China.
Dufu Pavilion falls into the imitated ancient garden architecture, built to commemorate the poet Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty. Located in Xihu Bridge, Hedong urban area of Changsha City, Hunan Province, it stands in the junction of the middle section of Xiangjiang Road and Xihu Road. Facing Orange Island and Mount Yuelu across the river, it is near the Xiangjiang River as part of the Xiangjiang River scenic belt. The garden area of the pavilion covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters, construction area of more than 3,800 square meters.
